AWAAZ DO

“Every time I see kids going to school, it brings back such amazing memories of my own time,” Priyanka tells her fans. “Education can change lives. That’s why I’m raising my voice for the 8 million children who are out of school… We’ve tried silence. It’s now time to speak up for every child’s right to be educated.”

It’s now your opportunity to make a difference.
The more the people read about ‘Awaaz Do’, talk about it, the better chance of a child receiving his/her education.
The facts about the Right to Education Act, its significance and a lot more is given as part of the zip file. Refer to these facts and share the information with your readers. Provide them with information which they can use and further spread the message.
So first,
What Is AWAAZ DO & How Can I A Make A Difference?
All children 6 to 14 years old have the right to free and quality education under the recently passed Right to Education Act.

The RTE Act specifies minimum norms in government schools. It requires all private schools to reserve 25% of seats for children from poor families (to be reimbursed by the state as part of the public-private partnership plan).

The Act also provides that no child shall be held back, expelled, or required to pass a board examination until the completion of elementary education. There is also a provision for special training of school drop-outs to bring them up to par with students of the same age.

The RTE Act is the first legislation in the world that puts the responsibility of ensuring enrollment, attendance and completion on the Government.

The Right to Education of persons with disabilities until 18 years of age has also been made a fundamental right. A number of other provisions regarding improvement of school infrastructure, teacher-student ratio and faculty are made in the Act.
To make the Right to Education Act successful, it is important that each one of us knows about it so that every child who is not in school can be sent back for free and quality education.

Why is the RTE Act 2009 significant and what does it mean for India?
A. The passing of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act 2009 marks a historic moment for the children of India.
This Act serves as a building block to ensure that every child has his or her right (as an entitlement) to get a quality elementary education, and that the State, with the help of families and communities, fulfills this obligation.
Few countries in the world have such a national provision to ensure both free and child-centered, child-friendly education.
The time is NOW! Make A Difference.
Stand up and make some noise! Join the Awaaz Do movement by signing up now for India's children. Ask your friends to be a part of getting every single girl and boy into school. Do it now for India's future.

Come forward and donate to UNICEF to help change 8 million lives.

Spread the word to your family and friends. You can SMS, e-mail or just talk to them and ask them to speak up and raise their voice for children. One voice makes a difference but together we can help change the fate of 8 million children. The time to begin is NOW!

Find a school near you and make a visit. Check if the school has:

• Separate toilets for boys and girls.
• Drinking water and places for students to wash their hands with soap.
• Playgrounds for playing sports and having fun.
• A school library for students and their teachers.
• Mid-day meals for children.

You can meet the school head, teachers, community members and even the parents of children enrolled there and talk to them about the RTE Act. Let them know about the highlights and let them know how every child can benefit.

My Nana, My Hero...!

Hello everyone! Today, I Shivani Singh (Your Writer) am about to introduce my family. My Hometown is Tirwa, Kannauj. I have an elder brother, elder sister, mummy and papa and the youngest one amongst them is me. I’m very naughty as I’ve told you earlier. I have my nana, nani, my mausis and my mausas as well. The Oldest, strongest, smartest & most hard working amongst them is my nana, my hero. He was a teacher in the collage nearby my hometown. But in the past few days he has been retired. He is always with us in every moment in our life. He used to give us his moral teachings so that we will be more successful like him.
Today, whatever I am is just because of him. In every moment of my life he is with me teaching me how to be more successful. He used to tell me that you can do better. His teachings are always with me. He encourages every one. He is very honest and used to do everything with hard work and honesty.
He teaches me English and whenever I feel as if I can’t do it, he is with me, inspiring me by saying-“Yes! you can do this.” He solves all my difficulties in Mathematics in the snap of a finger.
He is always helpful to me, my brother, sister and to my mom too. He is not short of good qualities and hence I keep trying to inculcate them in me. He is very caring person. I’m very close to him. I share almost every secret with him. Whenever he sees us succeed, he becomes so proud that he shares our success stories with our cousins.
One day he saw my picture in the newspaper and was so glad that he kept that newspaper cutting with him showing and proudly telling everyone that she is my daughter’s little daughter. By seeing his happiness I was so glad that I had taken a pledge to keep him happy, always.
THANK YOU NANA!! FOR GIVING ME SUCH A GREAT LIFE!!!
Thanks To all my reader for reading it. I hope that now you have known my nana now. Bye! See You Next Time i.e. whenever I’ll write on another topic in this blog. Till then Bye!!!

CUTIEPIE

It was a Monday Afternoon. And I was sitting alone and tired because of the hot wind that were blowing all around. I came from school and went to my bed to relax. Then, Suddenly I heard a sound of “Meow”. I wanted to know that what that was? Then I went to my mumma and asked her, “What was that weird sound of “Meow” in our backyard?” She told me that there was a cat with her 2 little kitten. And in the afternoon after taking lunch, I was very eager to see them. So I went to the door and I saw them at once.

My first reaction after seeing them was”awww!!!How sweet!!!”.I went to my mom and asked her to give them food or milk everyday. But she stopped me and said, don’t do that if you do so they’ll live here forever.

The days passed by with these small and a big cuties. I used to see them regularly. I used to copy their voice. The voice of the little cat was very cute and went as “mew”. I used to copy only the voice of the little kitten. They used to sleep upon each other. They played a lot. They were very naughty and used to pull my servant’s leg. And when they did that their mother (the big cat) used to attack on my servant and but suddenly she would close door to be safe.

One day a big tree mango tree fell down on our backyard. The Little Kitten used to hide inside a bucket. So, when we were plucking mangoes from that fallen tree the small and cute kitten went out of the bucket and went to that another kitten who was sleeping inside their so called home.

Today is Wednesday, April 21, 2010, and now the cats left my house.

The cat held the kitten as she holds a rat. But I was sad as well as happy. I was happy because they left my house and I was unhappy because I’ll miss them. I’ve spent 4 days with them and they used to mew mew all around. Today I returned from my school and went to see them but they were not there. Suddenly when I was writing this blog at around 1:00 PM my mom told me that they were back. "Go and see them.", she said.

I went to my backyard and saw them they were playing with each other and with each other’s tail. This scene was very cute as well as very funny. But their mother cat was seeing me so rudely and she took them back with her to another place which was very very far away from our house. Now they’ve gone. So there is nothing left to write about them, which was amazing experience. So, I stop here. Bye Friends & See you Next Time When I’ll write on some other topic in this blog! Thanks For reading My Blog.

THE WORST DAY OF MY LIFE

As We all know that every person always has the ups and downs in their life. Without the ups and downs they won't be able to live a successful life.As this sentence suggests, my life has also had ups and the downs.Everyday is full of it but there are more downs as compared to ups in my life. It's a Sunday Afternoon and for every person. Sunday is a relaxing and a wonderful day but this Sunday was not good for me and it has became the worst day of my life. So my worst day goes like this.I slept at 3:00am on 11th morning and then I woke up at 1:00p.m in the next afternoon for the first time in life. According to this my day is partially full with the downs.I was feeling so lonely, sad and I was not feeling well as compared to other days. So, then I started thinking that like may be the day will be good. But No! I was wrong the day was not well. As the day was not too well I was feeling sad and lonely so I didn't eat as my mood was off but my mom forced me to eat the lunch but still I didn't eat it.But then my worst day's 2nd level started as my mom scolded me for not eating. She also slapped me for the first time. So, my tear drops fell down on my food and I started to eat it.After that I was feeling even sadder.I was thinking that "Am I An Adopted Daughter of my Parent?"But then I heard the voice of my heart which says "No You Are not a adopted daughter."Then I realized that they love me which is the only reason she had slapped me.But all was still not too well. My real sister and brother didnt come to me for sympathy. This is the only reason due to which my tear drops didnt stopped.I hoped for the best and hope that my siblings would come to sympathise me.I cried a lot.... My eyes were not able to close ....So with my broken Heart I was writing to this blog. And I was willing to share this story of my worst day with my dear ones.Whenever I write anything in blog my heart says- "All is well...." I feel very relaxed when I share my experience with all my dear ones. Thanks For Reading My Blog...Don't take my feelings in a joke. It's serious and kindly do take it seriously! This is my humble request to all of you.
THANK YOU!!
